Methodology
How we review software tools
Our reviews focus on practical buying decisions for small teams. A product can be popular and still be a poor fit if it is too expensive, hard to maintain, or overbuilt for the job.
Review checklist
- Use case: the exact job the tool should perform.
- Setup effort: how much work is required before the tool is useful.
- Pricing fit: whether the price makes sense for a solo operator or small team.
- Reliability: product maturity, support surface, and export options.
- Disclosure: whether commercial relationships are clearly labeled.
What we avoid
We avoid fake urgency, guaranteed results, undisclosed sponsorships, misleading comparisons, and recommendations that only make sense because a commission exists.
